After more than a year with the Refugee Project, Leonie Mayer is leaving Maastricht to continue her education.
We would like to thank you from our hearts for all the beautiful memories, and all your hard work. We wish you all the best in your new adventures. Know that you will always have a family in Maastricht.
“My name is Leonie, I am 20 years old and I study at the Maastricht Science Programme. In February I will be leaving Maastricht to do my Bachelor Thesis Research in Paris.
After becoming part of RPM through the Connect Team at the beginning of last year I joined Project: ENGLISH! and taught the Intermediate English class. This fall we started the Women’s Language Café at the Inbetween where on Monday mornings we meet for a cup of tea and practice speaking English and Dutch.
I want to thank all of you for the wonderful time, the many laughs, singing Christmas carols with me, the delicious dinners, dancing lessons, and so much more!
My time at the RPM has been a very eye-opening and absolutely heartwarming experience. What a great initiative!
I wish you all the best and hope to see you again soon”
