Hello everyone!

Welcome to the Refugees Radio Maastricht , a new initiative from Refugee Project Maastricht! For those of you that don’t know, RPM creates a community of care by building bridges between people of different backgrounds in order to empower them to thrive in Maastricht & beyond. The main goal for the podcast will be to serve as a platform for asylum seekers to share their own stories, opinions and insights on their experiences. In addition to this, the podcast will explore different subjects from culture, customs, arts to politics. I am Xhoi, the voice project’s team leader and today I am joined by Amjad Kayali. We talked a bit about his experience as a Syrian refugee, but mainly we wanted to share his side of the story on the situation of asylum seekers in the AZC’s, the Dutch Asylum seekers centers.
