Community
Some of the best connections begin by simply spending time together. RPM brings people from different backgrounds together to share food, stories, celebrations and ordinary moments. You can join an activity, bring an idea of your own, or come along to meet someone new.
RPM organizes monthly Culture Cafes, which are refugee-led, and therefore a #flipthescript activity, open to the public. These vibrant community events celebrate different cultures and traditions with information, food and music.
At the AZC Maastricht, we also organize weekly Cafes for refugee women and members of the refugee LGBTQI+ community.
Our events are shaped by the people who take part in it. If you have a tradition, talent or idea you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you. For our Culture Cafes, we collaborate with refugees (with or without status) and with local (student) organizations. Please reach out to us, we'd love to hear from you.

Each gathering is an opportunity to discover a culture through the people who share it. Food, music, stories and conversation make space for exchange in both directions.
Women’s Café
THU 13:30-15:30 Women’s Cafe @AZC
A weekly place for women living at the AZC to meet, talk and enjoy activities together. The women decide together what they like to do each week.

A weekly gathering for LGBTQI+ refugees within our community programme.
Better together
Next to our regular activities, RPM also organizes many special events: from movie nights to workshops and from school visits to cultural celebrations such as Iftars, Halloween and carnival. Because we believe that life is better when we spend it together.
